The WHS Annual Lecture and AGM will be held on Saturday 4 July 2026, at Wesley Memorial Church, New Inn Hall Street, Oxford, OX1 2DH. The AGM will be at 12 noon; a sandwich lunch will be provided. The Lecture will be at 2pm.
Members are encouraged to attend in person, though those seeking to travel by car should note that traffic is heavily controlled in central Oxford, and parking is limited. Both the AGM and Lecture are intended to be hybrid events, that is accessible in person or via Zoom.
The Lecture is open to the public and will be given by Professor David Bebbington of Stirling University, an authority on the history of evangelicalism. The title of his lecture is: ‘Wesleyan Discipline at Brunswick Chapel, Leeds, 1825-1875’.
There will also be an opportunity for members to visit the Gibbs Library in its new home in the church.
