Ashcroft, Thomas
1838-1910; e.m. 1862

UMFC minister, born at Leyland, Lancs. After serving as City Missioner in Leeds, he entered the UMFC ministry in 1862. His lengthy and active ministry was mostly in northern circuits. He was known chiefly for such booklets as A Peep into my Album, or Portraits of Real Life [1869], Teetotalism not a Delusion [1874] and Our Young Men and the YMCA. He died in Liverpool on 17 July 1910.
