Armitage, George
1856-1948; e.m. 1881

PM minister, born in Southport. He served mainly in Lancashire circuits. He was appointed Organizing Secretary to the PM Centenary Committee in 1906 and was Connexional General Secretary from 1919 to 1925. He was elected President of the Conference in 1927. He died on 8 April 1948.
