Bradfield, William

WM minister, born at Kingsclere on 15 December 1859, he studied at Headingley College. During successive Superintendencies at Oxford and Cambridge he established considerable rapport with the students. As both Warden of the Wesley Deaconess Order (1907-20) and Chairman of the Halifax and Bradford District (1907-23), he worked unstintingly in the interests of women workers in the Church. His kindly nature and considerable experience was much appreciated by all who encountered him. He wrote a Life of T.B. Stephenson (1913). He died on 4 January 1923.
