Hudson, Henry Lindsay
1862-1926

Methodist writer, born in Belfast but educated in Liverpool, who wrote under the pseudonym ‘Harry Lindsay’. His titles include Methodist Idylls (1897), More Methodist Idylls (1898), The Rocklingstone Schoolmaster (1903) and On the King’s Service (1905). A Wesleyan LocalPreacher, he was the headmaster of Wesley Day School, Glossop. Of his two sons, A.L. Hudson was headmaster of Wesley High Street School, Glossop, and the other was the Rev. Henry Rosson Hudson (1883-1948; e.m. 1908).
