Bellingham, John Parry
1826-1909; e.m. 1852

PM minister, born at Bickley, N. Yorks, the son of a village schoolmaster and grandson of a blacksmith. His writings on natural science published in the PMM and the Teacher's Assistant helped to bridge the widening gap between Christian belief and scientific knowledge in the post-Darwin era. He died on 12 September 1909.
