Watkinson, Charles Kynman
1858-1934

PM layman, born at Market Rasen, Lincs. At 17 he moved to Grimsby, but soon left his apprenticeship to enter the fishing industry, where his business prospered. He was superintendent of the PM Sunday School for 40 years. A gifted singer, he was precentor at the PM Conference and later a member of the Methodist Hymnal Committee. He was Vice-President of the PM Conference in 1921. As a magistrate from 1914, he took a special interest in children's courts.
