Sackett, Frank Colyer
1876-1953; e.m. 1901

WM missionary in India and brother of the Rev.A.B. Sackett. He was born in Manchester, trained for the ministry at Headingley College and from 1901 to 1945 served in the Hyderabad District,. He succeeded Charles W. Posnett as Chairman in 1939. In a largely urban ministry, he built up a strong Christian witness in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. He wrote two books on the Hyderabad Mission and a life of Posnett (1951). He died in Selly Oak, Birmingham, on 3 May 1953.
