Order of Christian Citizenship

During the 1930s the Temperance and Social Welfare Department inaugurated the Youth and Christian Citizenship Movement. Out of this grew the OCC, dedicated to instruction and guidance in social witness and service. Meetings and conferences were held throughout the country and thousands were enrolled. A quarterly magazine, The Christian Citizen, was published, incorporating an earlier publication, On Active Service, aimed at keeping members in touch with the Department's work.
