Moore, John
? - 1931; e.m. 1878

UMFC/UM minister, trained at Victoria Park College, Manchester, 1876-1878. While stationed at Harrogate, he also served as secretary of Ashville College, 1893-1898 and on retiring to Bideford in 1920 he was bursar and chaplain at Edgehill College. For eight years, 1902-1920, he was the UMFC and then UM Home Mission and Extension Secretary and for two years from 1918 was also Warden of the Deaconess Institute, which became an integral part of the work of the Home Mission committee. In 1920 he was elected President of the UM Conference and was appointed a Guardian Representative. He died in Sheffield on 23 September 1931.
