Methodist Peace Fellowship
hhtp://mpf.org.uk

The Peace Fellowship is an association of pacifists founded in 1933 by Henry Carter to inform and unite Methodists who covenanted together 'to renounce war and all its works and ways'. It has for many years been incorporated in the inter-denominational Fellowship of Reconciliation. It holds a public meeting during Conference and provides speakers for student and other societies. It administers a fund in memory of Reginald J. Barker, which provides bursaries enabling young people to attend peace conferences or participate in development projects. An important development in the work of the Fellowship has been the provision of regular Briefing Papers under the title 'Peace in the 21st Century'. These provide information and comments on contemporary issues and crises affecting the peace of the world and are available without charge to applicants.
