Ball, Mary
1810-1860

PM itinerant. Converted at around 10 years old, she became a PM, taught in Sunday School, became a local preacher at 15 and an itinerant in 1832. She worked unofficially in Belper for 22 months, and was then stationed in Louth, Grimsby and Whitby, but retired on marrying T. Barkworth of Grimsby in 1837, continuing as local preacher and class leader. She died in February 1860 after much suffering following a mastectomy.
