Finch, Edwin
1876-1965; e.m. 1908

Born at Stockton-on-Tees on 5 October 1876, he was trained for the WM ministry at Handsworth College. In 1920 he became assistant to Henry Carter in the Temperance and Social Welfare Department. From 1937 to 1950 he wasSecretary of the Conference, and as such was responsible for The Constitutional Practice and Discipline of the Methodist Church, first published in 1951. He died at Wallington on 28 September 1965.
