The Library has the second largest collection of Methodist books and related literature in Europe and the second largest collection of British Methodist books in the world.

 

The Library is at The Oxford Centre for Methodism and Church History,
Westminster Institute of Education, Oxford Brookes University, Harcourt Hill, Oxford OX2 9AT.
The library can be used by prior arrangement Monday to Friday 9am to 4 30pm
and on the first Saturday of the month 9am to 1pm

ü     Opening times: 9.00am – 4 30pm, but may be closed 1 – 2pm.

ü     Advance notice of visits is required.

ü     Reference collection available on open access shelves in the research room.

ü     Main collection of books and pamphlets relating to all aspects of Methodist history are located in a secure area and available for consultation by request.

No reader’s Ticket required, but researchers will be asked to complete a registration form and sign the visitors’ book

 

The Librarian welcomes offers of books or other material of Methodist historical interest.  Please send details beforehand, indicating whether unwanted duplicates may be disposed of appropriately.
