SUBJECT

Wesley and Whitefield and Wales 

The lecture will focus on the impact of John Wesley and George Whitefield on Wales. The lecture will also examine why in the Religious Census of 1851 Calvinistic Methodism was the largest Non-conformist denomination in Wales with the Wesleyan Methodists in fourth place behind the Welsh Independents and the Baptists.  

 

There will be an opportunity to explore this outstanding library which has an important Methodist and Religious collection of books.

Overnight accommodation may be booked by friends wishing to have time to explore the library.
